NEWS / REMINDERS
MOWING REMINDER
This is your friendly reminder that lots at The Shores at Lands End must be mowed during the growing season (April through October). As a general rule, the growth of grass and/or weeds each month in this area is equal to or exceeds the maximum allowable height of sixteen (16) inches as stated in the Declaration of Conditions, Covenants and Restrictions.

Please make arrangements to have your lots mowed during the growing season before they become overgrown and out of compliance. Please provide us (slehoa@embarqmail.com) with your vendor’s information in order for us to update our files.

If you plan to maintain your lot personally, please let us know that as well. By giving us this information, our compliance inspector will know who to contact if your lot is out of compliance. We will begin inspecting for compliance in April and will continue throughout the season on a weekly basis.

Please notify us as soon as possible.

Thank you, again, for your participation and cooperation.

PROPERTY TRANSFER
Please remember to contact us if
you transfer your property.
Thank you.

NEWS
The NC State CERT Director reached out to all CERT teams in the state to request volunteers to assist those residents affected by Hurricane Isaias and the Tornadoes that hit Bertie Co. Roy forwarded the request to our CERT team members and Ginni Watson volunteered and reached out to the proper authorities. On Sunday, Aug 9th, Ginni drove down early to Bertie County and assisted in running and distributing just under 150 meals to those in need.
Ginni advised that the relief was well organized and was well staffed with lots of volunteers. She said the devastation was amazing as the picture provides. She said that the community is on the mend. Ginni met many other volunteers from all over the state. We, at the "Shores", appreciate Ginni, a recently retired Nurse of over 40 yrs of public service, for unselfish efforts to help those in need.
